Dear Mr. Schweiger,
I am one of those hunters and anglers that you speak of. Is there a platform plank that NWF can offer, or available, to both state and national representatives and senators that would assist them in defining their position on global warming, habitat, etc.? I as a voter would like to know their agenda in this regard, and not leave my voting decision to the latest scandal or current headline. It would be nice to know that my representative has "our backyards" in the front of his/her mind when legislating.
Frankly, these concerns should not be a political issue. Yet it is my opinion that our shared concerns are made political (by ... to be named and saved for another discussion.) It seems prudent for us to find ways to neutralize the political spinning of science and research. And some how find clarity on issues that involve our children's future. (I have personally watched energy companies - as part of my 26 years career in that industry - script data and legislation to fit an agenda. It should not be so. There should be processes that perserves objectivity in these matters.)

Dear Mr. Schweiger,
Last Friday (22Sept2006) your article on global warming appeared in the Green Bay Press-Gazette. In it you made reference to 19 scientists that strongly believed that global warming is a reality. Are they published? If so, could you give me contacts for them so I could obtain publications from them to help me understand more.
Thank you very much.
