		<description><![CDATA[It&#039;s better than sticking with the grid we&#039;ve got now, but I can&#039;t really say how much better.  I know several folks who are completely off the grid and actually wish that they had tied their renewable energy system into the grid.  Batteries are expensive and difficult to maintain, causing them to be replaced more often than they should.  No grid would also mean no extra income for people who produce more energy than they use (and no exportation of renewable energy to others, who maybe can&#039;t afford to produce it themselves).  I&#039;m all for getting rid of these horrendous power lines, though.
