Video: Remembering Earth Day

Forty years ago on the first Earth Day, I took a hundred college students to see Pennsylvania’s last nesting bald eagle at Conneaut Marsh. The eggs failed to hatch because of DDT. We eventually won that battle. Read more on what other environmental leaders and I were doing on Earth Day One in today’s Washington Post.  Today at the invitation of the President, I will attend a reception at the White House to celebrate Earth Day and what we can do when we work together to protect the earth.
