Wasted Away Again in Louisiana
--------------
modified from Jimmy Buffett
What is the spill rate
It makes my heart ache
All of those tourists covered with oil
Pulling my heartstrings
On my front porch swing
Smell the air, it reeks of oil.
Wasted away again in Louisiana
Searching for the job I lost
Industry claims they’re not to blame
But I know
It's Halliburton’s fault
I don't know the reason
I stayed here all season
Nothing to show but the oil I rue
And it's real nasty
A BP “oopsie”
When it stops spilling I haven't a clue
Wasted away again in Louisiana
Searching for the job I lost
Industry claims they’re not to blame
Now I know
Hell, it’s Transocean’s fault
Blew out my bank account
Slipped on the oil
Breathed the fumes had to stop the fishing
‘Cause there's oil in the water
And soon it will render
Useless the Gulf that provides me a living
Wasted away again in Louisiana
Searching for the job I lost
Industry claims they’re not to blame
But I know
It's BP’s damned fault
Yes, industry claim they’re not to blame
And I know
It's all their fault
