I have a friend who is still working for an eco company running a boat ofshore still cleaning up the oil mess that is still to this day impacting our wildlife and all of the newborns born in the spring that were lost. It is now tar balls they are being paid to pick up, but the media is shut up from telling the truth and many companies are no longer getting the funding to continue a much needed job,. Please remember, this was a disaster of major proportions that Bush sat on his ass and once again did nothing about it for days. He was busy asking his appointed flunkies how to do a job that they knew zip about instead of allowing the major oil disaster experts in to start the clean up as birds, turtles, our whole eco system was in peril!.... and did I mention that oil is still leaking? The companies are needed to stay until the job is done which will take another year at least. Allow the media to tell the truth..demand it! Our ecosystem needs continual help NOW!!! I have the proof and the people still working on boats cleaning up off of the Mississippi shoreline and wetlands.

I have a condo in Orange Beach...on the beach. Have been going apx. every other week .... I have only seen oil on the beach ONE TIME, and that was minimal at best. To hear the media, our beaches were slimmed and horrible. Nothing could be further from the truth in our area. BP is doing a deep clean up to 18-24 inches down on the beaches this winter...they were in front of my condo a few weeks ago working diligently to get any oil/tar balls under the sand sifted out and removed. While the spill was a tragedy to the area, I have to say they appear to be trying to do the right thing in the clean up effort.
