		<description><![CDATA[Thank you for the recognition! My unsung heroes are Ken Litzenberger, the Project Leader for the Southeast Louisiana National Wildlife Refuges and James Harris his biologist. I&#039;m not sure either of them slept during the entire crisis.  They were steadfast in the protection of the refuges that were most affected by the spill, including the protection of the Chandeleur Islands. James had an emergency appendectomy right in the middle of one of the sand berm fights and he still spoke to me from his hospital bed!  The job done by the US Fish and Wildlife folks assigned to the Gulf &amp; the Louisiana Dept of Wildlife &amp; Fisheries working around the clock is the untold story!!
