Where do all the bird mites go after such a mass die off of birds from the BP oil spill???? I think they got to neighborhood trees and then into peoples houses. These mites cause Lyme Disease.

David it is great to see good reporting on such serious issues.

What is needed are people to read and respond, not read and do nothing.

People don’t realize there are gentle, non-aggressive bees in their backyards which they can encourage to increase production. In particular, mason bees (multiple varieties) are VERY easy to be successful with.

Action is necessary, and easy. Raise pollen rich plants and simple bees!

I think this is terrible. There needs to be a more direct approach to these problems. Some people dont understand that when the environment starts dying, we all in turn start dying.
