Climategate: The Devil Isn’t In the Details

Federal climate scientists have been cleared by a Commerce Department investigation surrounding over a thousand leaked e-mails between American and British researchers in 2009, otherwise known as the infamous Climategate. The department’s inspector general found that the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) scientists followed proper peer review procedures and did not manipulate any climate data despite claims to the contrary by climate change skeptics. Similar investigations in England, as well as by the National Research Council and Pennsylvania State University, also found no wrongdoing on the part of the scientists.
