I missed entering my data for the 2011 Great Backyard Birdcount by the due date. One interesting sighting I would like to share was that of a female hoary redpoll and a Carolina wren in my yard at the same time, within about six feet of each other, on Sunday, February 20, 2011. No doubt they saw each other! I was able to get a photo of the Carolina wren on Monday. I shot a hundred or so photos of the hoary redpoll on Sunday. I plan on moving to a new home this summer, but I sure will miss the NWF Backyard Habitat I have set up over the past nine years!
