The attitude of the various presenters was all fresh air, even pro-life. It was consistently upbeat about the beneficial effects of people and their ideas, efforts, dreams. For example, someone referred to a recent headline about "young people flocking to Oregon, so sad that the jobs are already taken" as misguided- that in truth those vibrant young people will bring energy and ideas and create their own jobs to the benefit of everyone in that community. Or for example when someone goes on vacation to beautiful Traverse City and buys a meal- that is a small gain. But when they decide to move there along with their skills- now that is a huge gain. I'm encouraged all you good people are trying to make Michigan a life destination.

Unfortunately could not be there, but still support your positive effort! I work with the Cooperative Food Empowerment Directive, a new national training program and research institute that empowers students to create ethically-sourced, cooperatively-run sustainable food storefronts and cafés on college campuses. If any students in Michigan are interested in launching a sustainable food enterprise as part of your transition to a greener economy, please let us know and we would love to help!
I would like to thank all that attended and for the opportunity you provide our company US United Energy Systems, Inc. It is great to know that the education system is catching up with technologies, I believe that these types of engagements between education and manufactures, employers is a must do. I would like to see more business and education involvement with product and technology development, testing, etc.... these are the things we need to do as a community, for the transformation of our future TOGETHER, this is the only way we can meet the challenges we have in front of us right now. Again thank you all and anyone that would like to work with our company feel free to call me, Our company is anxious and has a drive to move forward with you.

Warm Regards

Really enjoyed the summit. Lansing Community College was very impressive with all of their Green technology integrated throughout the facility. I was very happy to be able to thank the people who helped put Michigan's training programs in place for displaced workers. Without these programs I might have been lucky enough to find employment, but I would most likely have had been stuck in a low paying job that I hated.

I know there are many talented people at St Clair County Community College who are very grateful as I am to have had the same chance to start again! I can't wait to see what they will contribute to the conservation effort!
