I really hope the wasps are introduced to fight off the stink bugs. Last year I had my house full of them and spend a great deal of time fighting them off, and my garden was still damaged by them. Using the steps from http://www.how-to-get-rid-of-stink-bugs.com I have managed to beat them off for now, but I would really like a natural predator introduced so I won't have to do any more of the work!

I am in favor of those wasps being introduced here to combat the stink bugs. I seriously hate them, I had a horrible infestation last year and am doing everything I can to fight them off this year. Currently using the methods on http://www.how-to-get-rid-of-stink-bugs.com/ to fight them off, always looking for new ways!

[...] Stink bugs are native to Asia, but hitched a ride to the United States and decided to stay, especially inside the warm walls of homes across America. While the invasive insect doesn’t bite people and usually doesn’t carry diseases, it has taken a big bite out fruit farms and local economies, ruining several harvests in the Mid-Atlantic region last year. And, as the name implies, they smell pretty bad. These little buggers thrive in the U.S. because they have no natural enemies, except for, perhaps, homeowners and fruit farmers. But, the enemy of an enemy can be a friend, and for those battling stink bugs, their new friend may be another insect. [...]

It's only going to get worse unless the Agriculture Department releases some form of predator bait like they do for Japanese Beetles. If you live near a woodland area, have siding with a lip near your window frames, they just hibernate under the siding and as the days grow warmer, they are starting to invade again. They say they aren't harmful to people, but to me, I don't agree. Anything with barbed feet that clings to walls, windows, and screens has the potential to carry something. I'm just waiting for the next accountability report that says oh we've found this is what they do..... They destroy huge groves of agriculture, but no one really seems to be phased, maybe when they hit the CA grape industry will something actually be done. This will be life changing... you can almost count on it!!
