Humpback Whale Saved from Certain Death

Watch this amazing video showing what happened when a family encountered a young humpback whale that was severely entangled in a fishing net. If you love animals (and I suspect you do if you’re reading this blog) you’ll tear up at several points while you watch it. I’m not embarrassed to say that I did.

While technically you shouldn’t deliberately approach any whale, in this case I think the action was warranted and luckily no one was injured. After you watch the video, consider symbolically adopting a humpback whale through National Wildlife Federation.
