As I mentioned on Facebook yesterday, a friend of mine received an order for removal from our City last year. To add insult to injury, the city staff person who came out to serve the notice mentioned the portable basketball hoop the family had in the street was also a code violation (they live on a cul-de-sac). I’d sent an email to our city manager and mayor asking the rhetorical question of when had childhood “been outlawed” in the City of Martinez. Bureaucracy at its most ridiculous.

I am in full support of this message and not only signed the petition but left a specific note siting my reasons- *sick and tired of the lack of common sense shown in this society, it’s a child’s tree house built by an American Service Veteran for his boys upon return from putting his life on the line. Tell me that county doesn’t have any bigger problems to tackle than this?
