Interesting and appropriate that on squirrel appreciation day 2013 the Politicians were in Washington where no doubt they were burying their nuts as the recently elected President swore to uphold the Constitution.

Yay! An honest reason to tell this story: Growing up in Warner Robins, GA, we had a “pet” squirrel named Sam who would climb from the tree in our front yard to the kitchen windowsill to say “hi” and get treats from my soft-hearted mom. We moved to CA when I was 5, but I’ll never forget Sam.

I have a female squirrel who sits with me and lets me feed and pet her…I brush her tail and scratch her little ears…I call her Sweet Pea and I sing that stupid 60′s song to her…’oh sweet pea won’t ya be my squirrel, won’t ya won’t ya won’t ya be my squirrel’… I maybe crazy but @ least I am in good company…b
