Ecologist? I doubt it. Idiot? No doubt about it. Yes, the surface problem is garbage management, but the real problem is over development and too many people in critical wildlife habitat. If you WERE an ecologist, you would have heard the expression that “a fed bear is a dead bear”. And this just in: I think the oil companies are rich enough to buy bear-proof garbage cans. Why don’t you throw yourself in one.

Typical gov’t kneejerk reaction. The gov’t is dictated to by the powerful lobby groups that are only concerned with money and NOTHING else.When will they take off their mickey mouse ears and grow some balls and do what’s right for a change. Oh wait, that won’t secure their position at the trough now will it.

Regarding statement from a so-called ecologist, bear-proof trash cans would help stop some of the killing of these bears, but it isn’t a solution to stop the rapacious destruction of these beautiful forests and home to so much wildlife! Maybe many of us would rather have an earth where nature still exists to give us beauty and inspire us- and not an earth ruined by man’s greed and lack of foresight with dirty oil polluting the air we breath, contaminating the water we drink, destroying wildlife, and increasing global warming so that we have more mega storms, flooding, and droughts which, by the way, impact on mankind’s ability to survive as well!
