National Wildlife Federation has teamed up with the film Journey 2: The Mysterious Island to inspire students and their families to get outdoors, to explore nature and to learn about the incredible wildlife in their own backyard.

Young adventurer Sean Anderson, in this exciting follow-up to “Journey to the Center of the Earth 3D,” receives a coded distress signal from a mysterious island where no island should exist – a place of strange life forms, mountains of gold, deadly volcanoes, and more than one astonishing secret. Unable to stop him from going, Sean’s new stepfather joins the quest. When our adventurers reach the mysterious island, they are amazed by all of the incredible plants and animals they see.
You and your family can be adventurous too! Enter the NWF Journey in your Backyard Sweepstakes for a chance to win a fantastic trip for four (4) to the adventurous island of Oahu, the Heart of Hawaii.
The Grand Prize Winner will: Enjoy daily ‘Breakfast on the Beach’ and a three (3) night stay at the Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel, located across from exciting Waikiki beach and steps away from a wide variety of ocean activities and a three (3) night stay with daily breakfast and a surf lesson for four (4) at the Turtle Bay Resort, the only destination on Oahu’s fabled North Shore that immerses you in authentic Hawaii where a few days here is like getting away for a thousand years. The trip includes roundtrip economy air for four from select key US cities to Honolulu courtesy of the Oahu Visitors Bureau. Travel is based upon availability and subject to any blackout periods by select airlines and the hotels. Travel must be completed by December 28, 2012. Additionally, four (4) runner-up winners will each receive a NWF membership and backpack full of family fun activities.
