What a sad little person you are. Eleven million people
depend on the oil industry for their living. Perhaps you don't value these
folks as much as you do a lizard but I do. Furthermore in addition to
transportation and heating fuels the oil industry provides the petro-chemicals
that are used in everything from pharmaceuticals
to detergents
and food products, to automobiles, to computer products etc. Lastly educated people do not need to resort
to profanity to make a point.
Grow up and learn to respect others as much as you say you respect the environment.

NEARLY 14 MILLION BIRDS DIE EVERY DAY IN AMERICA (repeat, 14 million every day),
half of them from some interaction or other with mankind (including some 100 million a year killed by cats). And you
make a big deal out of one dead pelican which may, or may not, have died as a result of BP's oil? Very
sad, but how about shooting all those cats for starters??
