If by “world” you mean the biosphere, then yes, we have it within our power to make the surface of this precious planet uninhabitable. Seriously, if we let global heating run away from us, we’ll be condemning the future of life on Earth.

Getting our GHG emissions under control and moving to a new era of perpetual energy (the Burning Age is over) is going to be so exciting and interesting, I don’t understand why everyone isn’t jumping on board!
