The U.S. just put that whatever it is on Mars, and we haven't looked for alternative energy. HA.......as long as BIG OIL is in control and pays off our senators no one ever will. We are intelligent people....oil and gas is not the only energy. There are sources much cleaner and safer that will not destroy our world out there. Someone needs to look....if they haven't already. Wake up people.......add your voice. Tell BIG OIL we aren't afraid of them any more...a bully is just that...a bully.

Digging up the land covering the tar sands is just as bad as mountain-top removal coal mining. Both are shameful misuse of natural resources caused by the lazy refusal to pursue more modern energy production. Burning biomass is essentially unchanged since we were living in caves, and just as wasteful. Besides that, we are ignoring the continued pollution of our world by such burnings. Finally, we must consider the needs of our fellow creatures who would be displaced and driven to extinction by such activities. I'd rather live in the dark than participate in such madness.
