Any state which supports the KXL pipeline should have to sign a waiver for when the inevitable spill happens. The state will be solely responsible for the clean up. No Federal money. And no money for the health problems in the areas where this garbage will be "refined" either. This is just such a horrendously bad idea for us. We need to be funding alternative energy technology. If we were, it would be progressing by leaps and bounds instead of at a snails pace. I blame big oil for that directly and consider them a beligerant entity to be fought with any and all means.

The Chinese national oil company has been buying stakes in the oil (dilbit) production companies such as Talisman, and installing their own management teams. The "oil" that goes into Keystone XL will belong to China and they do not have to sell a drop of it to anyone in North America. They can have it refined in the Texas refineries that were designed for heavy crude and ship it home to China. It has been sold as American energy independence.

No the pipeline will be full of dirty oil for China. We get to keep the the dirt, and China gets the oil.

It is the same thing they did with the Alaska oil pipeline. They sold it as oil for America, and then they sent much of the oil to Japan.
