Hi Lucyanne. Thank you for taking time to give us your feedback.

NWF has been supporting the development of the Rainforest Alliance cattle
standards for many months and are happy that Gucci is supporting efforts to
responsibly source leather. The amount of work required to trace leather from
farm to purse was immense and to date, no other company has come forward to
follow Gucci's lead. Gucci invested a lot of time and expertise in bringing
this product to market. We hope other brands will follow Gucci's lead in
sourcing their materials in a sustainable, conscious manner.

To attend the event, NWF staff based in London took a 2-hour train ride to
Paris from London and the cost was under $200.

I was very disappointed to see the NWF partner with a luxury provider like Gucci. They produced 250 of these handbags which will be sold for over $2,000 each. Clearly, an item that a very small percentage of women could afford to carry on their arm. Also, noticed that a NWF representative was at Paris Fashion Week for the official roll out of the product. I can't help but think that your financial resources could be utilized for greater impact. This seems like a very frivolous venture for NWF----particularly the "passport" that is attached to each bag which details the life experience of the cow who is slaughtered to make the bag.
