After using the coal then like a used battery discarded what’s left behind is the toxins in this case that pollutes the air causing global warming. The damage left behind by taking the coal destroys the fragile environment killing the wildlife & fish wrecking their homes forever. Using coal in 2013 brings us back over 100 years when it started in 1900 use clean energy instead.

For the health of our environment and for the long term health of our economy, I deplore the idea of mining coal and of transporting it on train through Oregon. We cannot rebuild our economy based on resources that are taken from the land and can’t ever be replaced. This will not build a stable economy, nor a stable environment for any living thing, including humans.

The coal export plan damages everything I hold precious and serves nothing of worth. We must not sacrifice our water and air and creatures to the coal profiteers. Be done with this!

Why export anything any tangible assets out????? Stop exports!!!!! Keep it here in USA!!!!
Let’s make it in USA. STOP imports!! Make it in USA!!! We are exporting products to CHINA and other countries and in turn, repurchasing in back in to manufactured products!!! This is going to hit us like a broadside from a cannon before we even know what has happened.

Yo, gov! If anyone wants that coal bad enough they can fly it out. Why should our state and its environment suffer? Arent’ we more progressive than some of the other states…….or aren’t we really. Why is it always all about just money. Your constituents are the leaders on this issue. Kudos to the people!

As a long-time Oregon resident, I want to save the state from pollution and the Pacific ocean. Let’s go with California that told the US Navy, no on sound murder of dolphins and whales and protect our Orcas and others.
