Introducing the Garden for Wildlife Gift Guide Catalog

0 9/29/2015 // By NWF

For 30 years, National Wildlife Federation has been offering nature-inspired merchandise through National Wildlife Catalog. Now, we’ve launched a brand new online catalog called the Garden for Wildlife Gift Guide.

It’s filled with everything you need to create a thriving wildlife habitat right in your own backyard, garden or landscape. Even better, every purchase supports NWF’s conservation and educations programs that help protect wildlife and connect people to nature, so when you get a nesting box for birds, a bat house, a toad abode or a birdbath from the Garden for Wildlife Gift Guide, you’ll help wildlife in your own neighborhood as well as all across the country.

Not all bird nesting boxes and other wildlife-oriented products are made equally. Each of the items in NWF’s Garden for Wildlife Gift Guide have been personally reviewed and selected by NWF’s naturalist David Mizejewski to ensure quality construction and that they will actually help wildlife. David is an expert on creating wildlife friendly gardens. He authored the book Attracting Birds, Butterflies and Other Backyard Wildlife and hosted the Animal Planet series Backyard Habitat. (In fact, you can purchase an exclusive signed copy of his book from the Garden for Wildlife Gift Guide.)

The items in the Garden for Wildlife Gift Guide are organized according to the four components of habitat: food, water, cover, and places to raise young. These are the four components you must have in your garden in order to achieve Certified Wildlife Habitat status through NWF’s Garden for Wildlife program. Providing those four habitat components is now easier than ever.
