The Arctic is a polar region located at the northernmost part of Earth that includes the Arctic Ocean and the northern part of Alaska in the United States. Despite having long, cold winters with frigid temperatures as low as -40 °F, the Arctic has an abundance of birds, land mammals, marine mammals and fish – some which are found nowhere else on earth.
