More than two months into the BP oil disaster, we continue to hear stories of frustration from our volunteers & staff along the Gulf Coast.

How hard can it be to convey information about impacted wildlife on the hotline? I took this clip just a couple of weeks ago near Cat Island, not far from the mouth of the Mississippi River, as NWF Naturalist David Mizejewski attempted to report oiled birds:
