Spring Greening: Obama Calls for Americans to “Get Outside!”

Spring is around the corner and Americans are excited to get back outside! The Obama Administration agrees, yesterday releasing the America’s Great Outdoors report, which serves as a blueprint for how American families can reconnect to nature.

The report, part of a broader initiative, rightfully makes outdoor time for kids a national priority. It recommends creating parks, trails, and open space in urban communities, providing children access to safe places to play, ride bikes, and just run around and be kids!

Furthermore, the report points out the added bonuses of 6.5 million jobs created every year from outdoor activities as well as the health benefits of spending active time outdoors.
