The international climate talks can be complex to summarize and are certainly massive in scope. Hans Verolme, NWF climate negotiations adviser, helps cut through the clutter and in this video talks about how negotiations are going.
The object is to move toward a comprehensive and legally binding international treaty to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. As he says, expectations are modest for the UN talks in Cancun, but it is a chance to put in place building blocks toward a broader agreement.
