When we save wildlife, we save ourselves

Wildlife, nature, and the outdoors are essential to any child’s upbringing. Most of us can remember a time in our childhood we spent exploring nature – but now, much of our children’s time spent outdoors has been replaced with time spent in front of a screen. We can change that – by replacing just one hour a week of screen time with “green time,” we can conserve wildlife and improve our children’s lives.

Collin O’Mara, president and CEO of the National Wildlife Federation, reveals why it is essential that we connect our children and future generations with wildlife and the outdoors — and how doing so is good for our health, economy and environment.
