PSC Bars Coal-Fired Plant

Concerns about global warming persuaded Florida’s Public Service Commission to reject a plan by the state’s largest utility to build a $5.7 billion coal-fired power plant near Everglades National Park. The proposed plant would have been the largest in the US.  NWF’s affiliate, the Florida Wildlife Federation, led the fight to stop the power plant.  Read the full story here.
