Friday AM Update on Gulf Coast Oil Spill

A quick roundup of morning news on the Gulf Coast oil spill:

  • As the Associated Press reports, the things are going from bad to worse along the Gulf Coast, as more oil continues to spill in deteriorating weather conditions.

  • The New York Times has an excellent graphic detailing the species that could be impacted by the spill. It includes the brown pelican, the state bird of Louisiana that was recently taken off the endangered species list & just began breeding in the area.

  • NASA’s Earth Observatory has released new images of the spill
